Clashes erupted between Venezuelan police and protesters in Caracas, on Thursday as opposition protesters attempted to storm the headquarters of the public television network Venezolana de Television, in light of a general strike against President Nicolas Maduro. Demonstrators set several security installations ablaze, while police responded with tear gas and rubber bullets.
